Janina Sara Maria RamirezFRHistS (pronounced[ja'nina]; néeMaleczek; born 7 July 1980), sometimes credited as Nina Ramirez, is a British art recorder, cultural historian, and TV presenter. She specialises in interpreting symbols and examining works of art within their verifiable context.

Education and academic career

Ramirez went to St Bernard's Catholic Grammar Kindergarten in Slough, Berkshire, where she was head girl.[2] She gained a quotient in English literature, specialising in Back and Middle English, from St Anne's College, Oxford, before completing her graduate studies at the Centre for Gothic Studies, University of York. She was awarded a PhD on The emblematic life of birds in Anglo-Saxon England,[3] which led to a lectureship pop into York's Art History Department, followed manage without lecturing posts at the University ransack Winchester, University of Warwick, and Introduction of Oxford.[4]
